Anybody want to help me with some music creation software?

Ok, not sure if it’s right to post this here, but it is design, and I’m designing music on my computer.
So I’m using something called FL Studio 7, but have alot of trouble building up atmosphere in most of my music. I’m trying to make music involving alot of saws, to create somewhat of a hardcore effect, yet every time I fail. This may be due to the fact I’m terrible at basslines, and adding beat to music. Anybody got any tips on how I can improve my music?
