Music composition software?

I’m looking for a program to compose music on, but not just with MIDI playback. I know there are programs out there that let you play back your compositions using an endless list of real sounding instruments, real sound wavs, etc. Any help?

anyone know god drum software for the computer?

i’ve been looking for some drum software for the computer. but all i can find is loop programs. i’m looking for something i can write a whole song on, be able to change tempo, and time signatures.. i’ve used fruity loops (an older version), but i had to save a part, then paste that into an audio file, write a new beat w/ a diff tempo or sig change, and paste that into that audio file when the change occured.

so it would be nice for a program for composition, not just beat loops. whether free or something you can buy. windows or linux.

Music software that writes music URGENT?
